Gamcheon Culture Village

Gamcheon Culture Village in Busan is a hillside neighborhood of densely packed pastel-colored houses cascading down a steep slope above Busan Port, transformed from a slum into an outdoor arts and culture center through a community renewal project in 2009. Narrow staircases and lanes between the houses are punctuated by murals, sculptures, and small art galleries. The colorful village offers breathtaking views over Busan's harbor and has become one of Korea's most Instagrammed destinations.
