Frida Kahlo Museum (Casa Azul)

The Frida Kahlo Museum (Casa Azul, Blue House) in Coyoacán is one of the world's most beloved artists' residences, the cobalt-blue house where the Mexican surrealist painter was born in 1907, lived for most of her life with Diego Rivera, and died in 1954. The house preserves her paintings, personal belongings, costumes, and the dramatic studio filled with mirrors (Kahlo was confined to her wheelchair) exactly as they were at her death, providing an intimate portrait of her extraordinary life and work.
