Mount Fuji

Mount Fuji

Mount Fuji (second reference) is Japan's most iconic natural landmark, a UNESCO Cultural Heritage site whose near-perfect conical silhouette has dominated Japanese art, religion, and identity for centuries. The sacred mountain, considered the abode of the goddess Konohanasakuya-hime, is most famously seen reflected in the Five Fuji Lakes at its northern base, particularly Kawaguchiko. For visitors who cannot or choose not to climb, the fifth station at 2,305 meters provides an accessible encounter with the mountain's awe-inspiring scale.
