Sægreifinn, known internationally as the Sea Baron, is a legendary Reykjavik seafood institution operating from a small red-painted shack on the old harbor since 1993. Founded by the late Kjartan Halldórsson — a fisherman turned restaurateur known as the Sea Baron — the restaurant serves just two things with perfection: grilled langoustine skewers and hearty seafood soup made daily from fresh catch. The interior is charmingly cluttered with fishing memorabilia and offers no reservations or pretension.
