Ruili Tengchong
The Ruili-Tengchong route in western Yunnan, China, traverses some of the most diverse and historically rich border landscapes in the country. Ruili sits on the Myanmar border and is famous for its jade trade, while Tengchong is celebrated for its volcanic geology, hot springs, and World War II historical sites. The journey passes through subtropical forests, ethnic minority villages, and landscapes shaped by the ancient Burma Road.
