Praza do Obradoiro

Praza do Obradoiro is the magnificent main square in front of Santiago de Compostela Cathedral in Galicia, Spain, the culmination point of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. Pilgrims completing the Camino drop their backpacks on the square's granite cobbles and embrace in tears and triumph before the Baroque cathedral façade. Surrounded by the Hostal dos Reis Católicos, the Pazo de Raxoi, and the Colexio de San Xerome, the square is one of Europe's greatest architectural ensembles.
