Prague Castle

Prague Castle

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world, a sprawling fortress complex overlooking the Czech capital that has been the seat of Bohemian and Czech rulers for over 1,100 years. The complex contains the Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral — with its breathtaking stained glass windows — the Romanesque Basilica of St. George, the medieval Golden Lane, and several historic palaces and museums. The castle district covers 70,000 square meters and dominates Prague's famous skyline from its Hradčany hill above the Vltava River.
