Bến xe Mỹ Đình is Hanoi's largest long-distance bus terminal, handling routes to northwestern Vietnam including Sapa, Son La, Dien Bien Phu, Ha Giang, and connections to the Chinese border crossings. Located in the Nam Tu Liem district of western Hanoi, the terminal serves dozens of companies operating overnight sleeper buses on the mountainous routes most visited by trekkers, cyclists, and travelers exploring the northern highlands. Open bus services, limousine vans to Sapa, and regular coaches all depart from Mỹ Đình, making it the essential starting point for most overland adventures in northern Vietnam. The station is connected to the city center by multiple bus routes and, following recent metro construction, will eventually have metro access.
