Thien Cung Cave (Heavenly Palace Cave)

Thien Cung Cave (Heavenly Palace Cave) is one of the most spectacular grottos in Ha Long Bay, discovered in 1993 and accessible from a small island a short cruise from the main dock. Multi-colored stalactites and stalagmites form fantastical shapes in chambers up to 30 meters high, illuminated by colored lights that heighten the otherworldly atmosphere. A legend of a dragon king and his consort is said to be depicted in the cave's formations.
