Chiang Mai Night Bazaar

Chiang Mai Night Bazaar is the city's most famous nocturnal shopping destination, a several-block stretch along Chang Klan Road where hundreds of vendors sell hill tribe crafts, lacquerware, silk, silver jewelry, carved wood, and countless souvenirs under the glow of market lights. The bazaar encompasses several enclosed shopping centers as well as an open-air section where skilled artisans can often be found at work on their crafts. Adjacent food courts serve northern Thai specialties including khao soi (coconut curry noodles) and sai ua (herb-infused sausage), while street performers add to the entertainment.
