Castelo de Guimarães
Guimarães Castle is a well-preserved medieval fortress in the historic city of Guimarães, northern Portugal—recognized as Portugal's birthplace and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 10th-century castle with its seven square towers is where Portugal's first king, Afonso Henriques, is believed to have been born around 1109.
