Casa Rosada
Casa Rosada (Pink House) is Argentina's presidential palace and most recognizable political symbol, facing the historic Plaza de Mayo in the heart of Buenos Aires. Its iconic pink-hued facade — said to result from mixing ox blood with whitewash — has been the backdrop to pivotal moments in Argentine history, including Eva Perón's legendary balcony speeches. The palace houses the executive offices of the President and a presidential museum open to visitors.
