Big Buddha
The Big Buddha (Phra Phuttha Ming Mongkol Akenakkiri) is a massive white marble statue atop Nakkerd Hill on the southern tip of Phuket, visible from miles away at sea and across the island. Standing 45 meters tall on a hilltop temple complex at 381 meters elevation, it offers sweeping 360-degree views over Chalong Bay, the Andaman Sea, and Phuket's interior. The site is an important Buddhist pilgrimage destination and popular sunrise and sunset viewpoint.
