Its museums include the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the African American Museum, and the Museum of Nature and Science, alongside the Cotton Bowl Stadium.

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in Dallas occupies the floor from which Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly fired the shots that killed President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Housed in the former Texas School Book Depository building overlooking the assassination site, the museum presents a comprehensive and balanced examination of Kennedy's life, assassination, death, and its enduring impact on American history and culture.
