Table Mountain
Table Mountain is Cape Town's defining natural landmark, a flat-topped mountain rising 1,086 meters above sea level and creating an iconic silhouette visible from much of the city and the surrounding ocean. One of the New Seven Wonders of Nature and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it forms part of the Cape Floristic Region — the world's smallest and richest floral kingdom, with over 2,200 plant species found on its slopes. A rotating cable car ascends to the summit, where the vast plateau offers extraordinary 360-degree views of the Cape Peninsula, the Atlantic, and False Bay.
