Qaidam Basin

The basin is rich in mineral resources including oil, gas, and salt lakes, and is home to extraordinary geological formations. The remote landscape of salt flats, colorful mineral lakes, and stark desert terrain has earned it the nickname 'Devil's Eye of Qinghai' for its satellite imagery appearance.
