Gateway Arch, St. Louis

Gateway Arch National Park in St. Louis, Missouri, honors the iconic 192-meter stainless steel arch — the tallest man-made monument in the United States — built as a monument to westward expansion. Designed by Eero Saarinen and completed in 1965, the arch's catenary curve is an engineering marvel containing a tram system that takes visitors to the top for views over the Mississippi River and city.
