Arashiyama Station (Randen)
Arashiyama Station on the Randen (Kyoto Tram) Keifuku Electric Railroad is the most atmospheric of the three stations serving Kyoto's Arashiyama district. The small Taisho-era terminus is decorated with thousands of kimono fabric panels and sits at the entrance to the town's main shopping and food street, Togetsukyo Bridge, the bamboo grove, and Tenryuji Temple. The Randen tram line — one of the last surviving in Kyoto — connects Arashiyama to Shijo Omiya in central Kyoto, offering a leisurely and scenic alternative to buses for reaching this popular destination.
