Hassan II Mosque
Attraction
Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is the largest mosque in Africa and the third largest in the world, a monumental work of Moroccan craftsmanship rising directly above the Atlantic Ocean on a promontory built partly over the sea. Its minaret soars 210 meters — the tallest religious structure in the world — and a retractable roof opens to the sky above 25,000 worshippers. The mosque's prayer hall and courtyard are among the few Islamic sacred spaces in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors.
