Hirosaki Park
Hirosaki Park in Aomori Prefecture is one of Japan's most celebrated cherry blossom destinations, home to approximately 2,600 cherry trees including some that are over 100 years old. The park surrounds Hirosaki Castle, a rare surviving Edo-period wooden castle tower, and comes alive each spring with the famous Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival. The petals floating on the moat create a magical flower raft effect that draws visitors from across Japan and the world.
