Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN)
Barcelona-El Prat Airport is Spain's second-busiest airport and one of the major gateways to southern Europe, handling over 50 million passengers annually from a modern two-terminal complex in the Llobregat delta south of the city. Vueling, Iberia, and Ryanair use Barcelona as a major hub, with extensive connections across Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and North America. The airport is connected to central Barcelona by the Aerobus express service (35 minutes to Plaça de Catalunya) and by Metro Line L9 Sud — though the metro connection requires a transfer and is considerably slower than the bus. The airport's T1 terminal is among Europe's largest and most modern.
