Lumpini Park
Lumpini Park is Bangkok's central green oasis, a 57-hectare lake-dotted park in the heart of the metropolis named after Buddha's birthplace in Nepal. Popular with joggers, tai chi practitioners, and families, it provides a welcome retreat from the city's heat and traffic. The park is also home to a population of large water monitor lizards that patrol the lakeshores with prehistoric nonchalance.
