Porto Airport Francisco Sá Carneiro (OPO)

Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is the main airport serving northern Portugal, located approximately 11 km northwest of Porto's city center. The airport is one of Portugal's fastest-growing, handling over 14 million passengers annually with extensive connections across Europe, including frequent budget airline routes from the UK, Germany, France, and Spain, as well as intercontinental services. Metro Line E (the Violet Line) connects the airport directly to central Porto's Aliados station in approximately 35 minutes — one of Europe's most seamless airport metro connections. The modern terminal was expanded significantly in recent years to accommodate northern Portugal's booming tourism.
