Noi Bai International Airport (HAN)

Hanoi · Vietnam

Noi Bai International Airport is Vietnam's second-busiest airport and the primary gateway to the capital Hanoi, handling over 30 million passengers annually from its modern T2 international terminal — designed by Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki and opened in 2014 — alongside an older domestic T1 terminal. The airport serves as a hub for Vietnam Airlines and handles international routes across Asia, Europe, and Australia, as well as extensive domestic connections to cities throughout Vietnam. Connections to central Hanoi are provided by the Vietnam Airlines Minibus, Jetstar bus, City Bus route 86, and taxis, with journey times of approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.

Pan Pacific Hanoi

Pan Pacific Hanoi is an elegant lakeside hotel on the northern shore of West Lake, offering an unusually tranquil luxury experience for a major international hotel in a capital city. The 324 rooms and suites look out over the 500-hectare West Lake — the largest lake in Hanoi and a center of the city's leisure culture — from a setting of refined calm that contrasts with the bustle of the Old Quarter and the city center nearby. The hotel's outdoor pool, several restaurants, and the Spa Pacific wellness center make it a genuine urban resort, and the West Lake location provides easy access to Trúc Bạch Lake, the ancient Trấn Quốc Pagoda, and the fashionable Tây Hồ residential district popular with the expatriate community.

One Pillar Pagoda

The One Pillar Pagoda (Chùa Một Cột) in Hanoi is one of Vietnam's most iconic religious monuments, a tiny wooden Buddhist temple rising from a single stone pillar in the middle of a lotus pond. Built in 1049 by Emperor Lý Thái Tông following a dream of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, it is designed to resemble a lotus flower emerging from water. Though small, it represents one of the most enduring symbols of Vietnamese Buddhism and architecture.

Dong Xuan Market

Dong Xuan Market is Hanoi's oldest and largest indoor market, a four-story building in the Old Quarter that has served as the commercial nerve center of the city since it was rebuilt after fire in 1994. It sells wholesale quantities of clothing, fabrics, toys, electronics, food staples, and everyday goods at fixed Vietnamese prices in a utilitarian environment that's a world away from tourist-oriented shopping. The surrounding streets form Hanoi's most authentic bustling commercial district.
