Eilean Donan Castle
Eilean Donan Castle is Scotland's most photographed and romantic castle, a medieval fortress on a tidal island at the junction of three sea lochs in the western Highlands, backed by dramatic mountain scenery. Originally built in the 13th century and restored in the early 20th century, it is connected to the mainland by a stone arched bridge and houses a museum of clan history and Jacobite memorabilia. It has starred in numerous films including Highlander and The World Is Not Enough.
