Dom Tower Utrecht

Amsterdam · Netherlands

Dom Tower (Domtoren) is the Netherlands' tallest church tower and Utrecht's most iconic landmark, rising 112 meters. Built between 1321 and 1382 in Gothic style, it is all that survived when Utrecht Cathedral's nave collapsed in a 1674 storm. Guided tours ascend 465 steps to the bell chamber and panoramic top terrace. The tower houses a historic carillon and is the enduring symbol of Utrecht's medieval heritage.

Canal Cruise

Canal cruises through Amsterdam's UNESCO-listed canal ring offer the most enchanting way to explore the city, gliding beneath 1,200 historic bridges past gabled merchant houses, houseboats, and waterside cafés. The network of 165 canals was built in the 17th century during Amsterdam's Golden Age as a testament to Dutch engineering and mercantile power. Evening cruises are particularly magical as the canal houses are reflected in the still water.
