Cradle Mountain
Cradle Mountain is the rugged summit that gives its name to Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park, the crown jewel of Tasmania's wilderness and a UNESCO World Heritage Area. The jagged dolerite peak rising to 1,545 meters above Dove Lake is Tasmania's most photographed icon, reflected in the glacial lake below. The park's 65-km Overland Track is one of Australia's great multi-day hikes through alpine moorland, ancient rainforest, and pristine tarns.
