Chinchero
Chinchero is a traditional Andean village perched at 3,762 meters near Cusco, famous for its intact Inca agricultural terraces, colonial church built atop Inca walls, and living weaving traditions. Local women in colorful dress demonstrate the ancient art of natural dyeing and loom weaving using techniques passed down for generations. The village's Sunday market is one of Peru's most authentic indigenous markets.
