Inti Raymi Sun Festival

Inti Raymi, naturally translated as the Festival of the Sun, is a traditional Andean celebration in Cusco, Peru, honoring Inti, the revered Inca sun deity. It is linked to the June winter solstice, the shortest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere, and to the Inca New Year, when daylight begins to lengthen.
