Bánh Mì Phương in Hội An is Vietnam's most famous bánh mì shop, a tiny storefront on Phan Châu Trinh Street that has been making the perfect Vietnamese baguette sandwich since 1989. The shop's legendary bánh mì — a crispy French baguette packed with pâté, cold cuts, pickled vegetables, cilantro, and chili sauce — was made internationally famous by Anthony Bourdain's declaration that it was the best sandwich he'd ever eaten. Queues form from early morning as the bread comes fresh from the oven.
