Pchum Ben
Cambodia's Festival of the Dead is a 15-day Buddhist celebration in September and October when Cambodians visit pagodas at dawn to offer food to the spirits of deceased ancestors. Believed to be when the gates of hell open, Pchum Ben is a deeply solemn and important occasion for honoring family lineage across seven generations.
