Bali Arts Festival (Indonesia)

The Bali Arts Festival, known locally as Pesta Kesenian Bali, is an annual month-long celebration of Balinese art and culture. First held in 1979, it brings traditional artists together with performers from across Indonesia and other countries. The programme can include daily dance, music and theatre, as well as competitions, seminars, exhibitions of art and handicrafts, and opportunities to encounter authentic Balinese cuisine. The festival usually opens with a parade and continues at Taman Werdhi Budaya Art Centre in Denpasar.
