Saint Naum Monastery
Saint Naum Monastery is a medieval Orthodox monastery situated on a dramatic rocky peninsula at the southern end of Lake Ohrid in North Macedonia, near the Albanian border. Founded in 905 AD by Saint Naum—a disciple of Saints Cyril and Methodius—the monastery is one of the oldest in the region. The stunning setting over crystal-clear lake waters, peacock-filled grounds, and beautiful frescoes make it one of the most visited religious sites in the Western Balkans.
