The Windmills of Mykonos are the island's most iconic and photographed landmark, a row of 16th-century whitewashed stone windmills standing on a hill above the harbor of Mykonos Town (Chora). Built by the Venetians to mill flour for their fleet, the windmills have become the defining symbol of the Cyclades.
