Mjódd Bus Terminal Reykjavik

Reykjavik · Iceland

Mjódd is one of Reykjavik's largest suburban bus terminals, located in the Breiðholt district on the eastern edge of the city. The terminal serves as the hub for Strætó city bus routes serving eastern Reykjavik and neighboring municipalities including Hafnarfjörður, Kópavogur, and Garðabær. For visitors staying in the outer neighborhoods or exploring areas away from the tourist-dense city center, Mjódd provides convenient connections across the Capital Region's extensive bus network. The terminal has a small indoor waiting area and is located near local shopping and services.

Everest

Mount Everest is the world's highest peak at 8,849 meters, straddling the Nepal-Tibet border. Sacred to Sherpa communities as Chomolungma (Tibetan) or Sagarmatha (Nepali), the mountain holds supreme spiritual and adventurous significance. Trekkers can reach Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) via the classic 12-14 day Khumbu Valley trail. Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay first summited on 29 May 1953 in one of history's greatest mountaineering achievements.
