Reykjavik · Iceland

The Blue Lagoon is Iceland's most famous geothermal spa, a surreal milky-blue pool surrounded by black lava fields on the Reykjanes Peninsula. The mineral-rich silica and algae waters maintain a year-round temperature of around 38°C and are celebrated for their skin-rejuvenating properties. Located just 20 minutes from Keflavík International Airport, it's an unmissable first or last stop on any Iceland trip.

The Flybus and several taxi and rideshare services connect the airport to Reykjavik city center in approximately 45 minutes.

Reykjavik Domestic Airport

Reykjavik Domestic Airport — officially Reykjavik Airport (IATA: RKV) — is located just south of the city center and serves as the hub for domestic flights to Iceland's regional destinations including Akureyri, Egilsstaðir, Ísafjörður, and the Westman Islands. The compact airport also handles regular scheduled flights to the Faroe Islands and Greenland, making it the gateway to Iceland's remotest and most spectacular highland and coastal regions. Eagle Air and Air Iceland Connect are the primary carriers operating from the domestic terminal, which is walkable or a short taxi ride from central Reykjavik.
