Bardejov Town Square

Bardejov's Town Square (Radničné námestie) is the centerpiece of a UNESCO World Heritage medieval town in northeastern Slovakia, surrounded by a remarkably intact collection of Gothic and Renaissance burgher houses and the magnificent Gothic Parish Church of St Egidius. Once a major commercial center on the trade route between Poland and the Ottoman Empire, Bardejov preserves one of the most complete examples of a medieval Central European trading town. The 15th-century town hall on the square is one of Slovakia's oldest Gothic secular buildings.
